What is "IFS" Internal Family Systems ?
At the heart of our two-day journey is Internal Family Systems (IFS), a transformative, compassionate, non-pathologizing model of the mind that views us not as a single personality, but as a system of "parts."
Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, IFS posits that we all contain a "family" of inner sub-personalities, each with its own perspective, history, and role. Also, whether it’s an inner critic, a perfectionist, or a part that feels overwhelmed, every part of you has a positive intention, even if its methods are no longer serving you.
IFS is uniquely suited for a collective experience. By understanding our own internal systems, we become better equipped to relate to others.
It moves the focus beyond "fixing" ourselves and instead focuses on Self-Leadership.
Over these two days, we will use IFS-informed practices to:
-
Identify the internal "roles" you step into during social or high-pressure situations.
-
At times, it's possible to uncover the burdens your parts have been carrying.
-
Cultivate a deep sense of internal harmony that radiates outward into your relationships and life.
In this event, you'll find a supportive space to step back from the "noise" of daily life and reconnect with the curious, compassionate leader within.
