Welcome to my world...

A little about me and my journey here

...This all started when a little girl was organizing sharing circles with her stuffed animals, when the same little girl was playing the lead power ranger with friends in kindergarten, when she started witnessing suffering and injustice in the world around her, when a teenager had to grow up fast and be emotionally responsible, becoming a parentified child for a family that was surely not thriving, when the question wasn't anymore "what about me?" but "what about her?"...and when the need to leave, for exploration and curiosity and oxygen, was so strong it became a north star.

This is where it started...as well as in my deep, natural and ever-present curiosity and love for relating and expression.

I am a human, like you. I have feelings, parts, emotions, I make mistakes, I cry, I love deeply, I hurt, I rejoice, I trust, and I have come a long way from where I started.

My love for people has led me here.

I facilitate the journey towards having a better relationship with oneself and with others. That's the simplest way I know to say it.

The longer version is this: I work with what's actually happening inside you (the parts that get activated, the patterns that repeat, the situations where you go silent and make yourself invisible or where you can't stop reacting) and I help you find your way back to yourself. The You who can welcome different and multiple ideas, identities, states, emotions at the same time and has a more compassionate and curious approach towards who you actually are. Less resistance and internal conflict, more self-love and harmony.

I came to this work mainly through living, not through a classroom.

In my early 20s I spent my Sunday nights volunteering in emergency first response teams, going out with a trained team and the ambulance, offering first aid support and sitting with people (and eventually their families) in some of the worst moments of their lives. It just felt right, I could be there, and I could help making a difference.

From there, the containers got bigger.

I've crossed the Pacific Ocean on a sailing boat with four other people. I've skippered yachts in the Mediterranean, explored the remote waters off Micronesia, Solomon Islands, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Faced challenging weather conditions when navigating in the South of South America, in Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia, close to Cape Horn, and through the Chilean Channels...where limited to no external support was available and where there was nowhere to go but through.

I've lived with Lakota, Cherokee and Ojibwe families in the United States, learning about their culture, challenging myself, sitting with their ceremonies, their losses, their ways of understanding spirituality, belonging and the world around. This...I could share so much about it...it felt both as something new and as something I was returning to.

And then New Zealand, where I built a self-contained van named "Marbles" and drove it through the most stunning places in the North and South Island. It was in that period that the love and passion for personal growth, psychology, self-exploration and communication, always present, began to deepen into something I could no longer ignore.

The year my life started changing exponentially was 2015. The end of a long-term partnership became the beginning of a personal exploration journey: learning to exist and thrive independently in this world.

Every setback, I've come to understand, carries in me a gigantic potential for growth.

I understood, thanks to my body's reaction, how much I couldn't avoid my real essence anymore: creating experiences for people, working on connection internal and external, supporting humans in their personal journey and self-discovery.

I'd been avoiding it...fear, limiting beliefs, parts of me protecting against full exposure...but back in Italy, in 2021, my body wouldn't let me pretend anymore.

And so I moved to where I could feel my best self coming back to life. That place happened to be Bali.

Two months in (and failing at writing my book, initially one of the main reasons I was there in the first place), I went to an Authentic Relating workshop, invited by a friend.

That was it.

That marked a starting point, a milestone. I knew it, my body knew it...that modality was for me. I joined trainings, I started practicing it at every occasion, envisioning future possibilities, loving every single bit of it...and then becoming an assistant to an incredible facilitator and teacher at the time, who is my dear friend and colleague today.

Shortly after, I came in contact with IFS, a modality that made sense to me instantaneously. Its grounded approach was and is deeply aligned with me and the way I lead my life. In my journals I found moments where it looked as if I was already using it for self-exploration, writing about parts and the multiplicity of experiences I would have at the same time.

The perfect combination.

I was living it before I had words for it. What I do now is help you become the filter between your inner world and the people you're relating to, to know what's yours, speak for your parts rather than from them, and stay grounded in yourself regardless of what comes back.

In all the experiences I've lived through, I have been learning connection, relating, introspection, compassionate inner dialogue, diversity, resilience, patience, courage, and presence.

On the softball field, in indigenous communities, in emergency situations, in group work with people from all over the world, and in private sessions (where I continue to be a learner even when I'm guiding).

All of this (and more) is what shaped how I work and what allows me to stay present when things get hard, to stay open to what's difficult, and to trust that there is always something underneath the surface that wants to be acknowledged, understood, witnessed rather than fixed, judged, or pushed away.
